VIIN Events
The VIIN hosts a number of annual events, many at no cost to attendees. These free events are made possible by the generosity of our Contributing Organisations and Event Sponsors.
VIIN YOUNG INVESTIGATOR SYMPOSIUM
The annual VIIN Young Investigator Symposium regularly attracts 200+ participants. It is a fantastic opportunity for postgraduate students and early postdoctoral researchers to present their work to the Victorian Infection and Immunity community.
VIIN CAREERS EVENING
VIIN Careers Evenings showcase a range of alternative careers available to those currently studying and working in the Infection and Immunity field.
LORNE INFECTION AND IMMUNITY CONFERENCE
The VIIN co-hosts the International Lorne Infection and Immunity Conference every February along with the Queensland based Australian Infectious Diseases Research Centre. The program includes invited international and Australian speakers along with oral and poster presentations selected from abstracts. This three day conference is a unique, multidisciplinary forum for basic researchers, students, care providers and industry.
The VIIN Industry Alliance was formed in late 2012 and has since hosted a number of events targeted at connecting academia with industry.
