Contract research opportunities

I am director of the Monash Research Technology Platform for fragment-based drug design (MFP). MFP curates a high-quality fragment library that has been designed to maximise chemical space coverage and enable rapid hit optimisation. Screening cascades can be tailored for any target and undertaken …
using a variety of techniques including NMR spectroscopy and surface plasmon resonance (SPR). Structural biology and medicinal chemistry expertise utilising our proprietary parallel chemical evolution strategy enables the rapid elaboration of fragments into more potent lead compounds.

Research Activities

My laboratory is principally involved in examining the interaction of small molecules with proteins. This is done using a variety of biophysical methods, primarily NMR spectroscopy.
Projects involve determining the structural basis for drug protein interactions; Screening of small molecule fragments to identify novel lead compounds; Determining protein structure and dynamics and their relationship to biological activity

Techniques/Expertise

Fragment-based drug design
NMR-based screening
Isotope labelling for NMR spectroscopy
