Research Activities

I am currently investigating the effects of the vaginal microbiota metabolites, in particular lactic acid, on cervicovaginal epithelium immune response and barrier integrity to understand their role on HIV transmission. I believe this project have the potential to inform the development of new prevention strategies to tackle HIV transmission.
